The Snapmaker U1 includes inner and outer side panels, a front door, and a rear cover as standard — but it is not fully enclosed by default. The Top Cover is sold separately and is required to unlock high-temperature filaments such as ABS, ASA, PA (Nylon), and PC.
Without the Top Cover, the U1 prints PLA, PETG, TPU, and PVA. Adding the Top Cover expands material compatibility to ABS, ASA, PA, PC, and carbon-fibre or glass-fibre composites (with hardened steel nozzles).
