Motorcycle Dash Cam
Sony STARVIS — IP67
32GB Included
The motorcycle dash cam built for Canadian roads — Sony STARVIS sensor, 7.5-hour battery, IP67 weatherproof, snap-in instant recording, AI wind noise reduction, and tilt emergency saving.
The GekoGear Moto Snap is a purpose-built 1080p Full HD dash cam designed specifically for motorcycles. Unlike car dash cams adapted for bike use, the Moto Snap is engineered for the challenges unique to motorcycle riding — wind noise, vibration, rain, and the need for a compact, aerodynamic profile that stays out of the way. A Sony STARVIS low-light sensor delivers sharp, detailed footage day and night, a 3200mAh built-in battery runs for up to 7.5 hours without being plugged in, and IP67 waterproof construction keeps recording through any weather.
A 32GB microSD card is included in the box — just mount, snap in, and ride. Available at ITFactory.ca — Canada's trusted source for dash cams and vehicle cameras.

Key Features
Sony STARVIS Sensor — Day and Night Clarity The Sony STARVIS sensor uses back-illuminated technology specifically designed for low-light performance — capturing clear, detailed footage in dawn, dusk, and night riding conditions where standard sensors produce grainy, unclear video. Licence plates, road signs, and oncoming vehicles are clearly visible even in poor light.
1080p Full HD at 30fps — 129° Field of View Records at 1920 x 1080 resolution at 30 frames per second, capturing a wide 129° field of view in front of the bike. Sufficient resolution to capture licence plate details on vehicles ahead and the context of road incidents for insurance and legal purposes.
Snap-In Instant Recording — No Button Press Required The snap-in mounting system starts the camera recording the moment it is seated in the mount — no buttons to press, no app to open, no delay. Remove from the mount and recording stops and saves. Designed for the way riders actually use a dash cam: mount up, snap in, and go.
7.5-Hour Built-In Battery — No Wiring Needed The integrated 3200mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 7.5 hours of continuous recording — enough for a full day's riding without needing to wire the camera into the motorcycle's electrical system. Charge between rides via USB. No permanent installation required.
IP67 Waterproof — Rides Through Any Weather IP67 rated — fully protected against dust and capable of withstanding submersion in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes. Rain, sleet, road spray, and puddle splashes are no concern. The Moto Snap keeps recording through the weather conditions Canadian riders regularly encounter.
Tilt Emergency Saving — Automatic Incident Protection If the motorcycle falls or is involved in an accident, the tilt sensor detects the sudden change in orientation and immediately locks the current recording file as a protected emergency file — preventing it from being overwritten by the loop recording system. Your incident footage is preserved automatically without any action from the rider.
AI Wind Noise Reduction AI-based noise reduction technology automatically identifies and suppresses wind noise in the audio recording — the dominant audio challenge for any motorcycle-mounted microphone. The result is recorded audio where voices, surrounding sounds, and incident audio are more clearly distinguishable from wind noise.
Wi-Fi — View and Share via the Moto Snap App Built-in Wi-Fi connects directly to the free Moto Snap app on iOS or Android for wireless viewing, downloading, and sharing of footage from your smartphone — no cables or card reader needed. Review your ride footage from your phone without removing the camera from the mount.
Loop Recording — Continuous Coverage Continuously overwrites the oldest footage when the microSD card fills up — ensuring the camera always captures the most recent riding footage without requiring the rider to manage storage. Emergency-saved files are protected from being overwritten regardless of card capacity.
32GB Included — Expandable to 128GB A 32GB microSD card is included in the box — ready to record from the first ride. When you need more capacity for longer rides or higher-bitrate recording, the slot supports cards up to 128GB (sold separately at ITFactory.ca).

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Moto Snap need to be wired into my motorcycle?
No. The Moto Snap has a built-in 3200mAh rechargeable battery that provides up to 7.5 hours of recording without any connection to the motorcycle's electrical system. Charge the camera via USB between rides. This makes it fully portable — you can move it between bikes, take it off for secure storage, and use it without any permanent installation or wiring.
What happens to my footage if I have an accident?
The tilt sensor detects when the motorcycle falls or is involved in a crash and automatically locks the current recording file as a protected emergency file — preventing it from being overwritten during loop recording. Your incident footage is preserved automatically without any action required. If the bike goes down, the critical footage stays safe.
How do I view footage without removing the camera?
Connect your iPhone or Android phone to the camera via Wi-Fi and open the free Moto Snap app. The app lets you browse, view, download, and share footage directly from the camera without removing it from the mount or taking out the microSD card. You can review your ride footage from your phone while the camera stays on the bike.
Is 1080p good enough to capture licence plates?
At 1080p with a Sony STARVIS sensor and a 129° field of view, the Moto Snap captures enough detail to read licence plates on vehicles directly ahead in normal daylight and low-light conditions. Plate legibility decreases at longer distances, at extreme angles, and in very dark conditions — as with any camera system. For the primary use case of documenting incidents and near-misses with vehicles close in front, the resolution and sensor quality are well suited.
Will it survive a Canadian winter ride?
The IP67 waterproof rating means the camera is fully protected against rain, road spray, and puddles. However, extreme cold temperatures can reduce lithium-ion battery capacity — in very cold conditions you may get less than the rated 7.5 hours. For winter riding, allow the camera to warm up slightly before use if it has been stored in very cold conditions, and charge it fully before each cold-weather ride.
